In show business first with the Follies Bergere in San Francisco, subsequently at Billy Rose's Diamond Horseshoe. Signed by 20th Century Fox in 1945 and mentored by Ida Lupino, who helped her get a co-starring role opposite Kirk Douglas in The Big Trees (1952). Joined Warner Brothers and had second leads in The Winning Team (1952) and April in Paris (1952), and appeared as guest in episodic television, primarily in anthology drama.
