About Lisca Malbran
Lisca Malbran was the daughter of the actor , director and film producer Hellmut Werner Hoffmann and his wife Elisabeth Paula, geb. Tolkmitt. Since her father became known under the pseudonym Werner Malbran , inspired by a Huguenot ancestor , she adopted this family name. She worked as an actress in four films shot during the Second World War , whereby the last one ( Heidesommer ) could no longer be completed and performed. According to Kurt Wiemers' memories , Malbran was still in Berlin shortly before the end of the war. According to the information provided by the Danish nurse Edda Mørkeberg, she was in a Soviet internment camp in May 1945, where she was able to identify herself as a Danish citizen named Marlis Carmen Christensen with a passport. She was therefore able to leave for Denmark a few months later after her release. Lisca Malbran died in Copenhagen on June 6, 1946 at the age of 20.
