About Paulita Pappel
Paulita Pappel, born on December 13, 1987, in Madrid, Spain, is a Spanish filmmaker, screenwriter, and intimacy coordinator based in Berlin, Germany. She is the visionary behind Lustery, an amateur pornography website, and HARDWERK, an independent German production company. Pappel also contributes as a curator for the Berlin Pornfilmfestival.
Paulita Pappel was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1987. She was raised with feminist principles, which sparked an early interest in pornography. In 2005, after finishing her studies, she moved to Germany, seeking to escape the restrictive conservative Catholic cultural norms prevalent in Spain. Pappel pursued her higher education at the Free University of Berlin, where she studied comparative literature and earned her bachelor's degree in 2013.
While attending the Free University of Berlin, Paulita Pappel discovered pro-sex queer feminism and became deeply involved in Berlin's queer feminist community. Her strong political beliefs motivated her to confront societal taboos and stigmas associated with sexuality, leading her to perform in queer feminist porn films as a form of activism. Pappel participated in several queer feminist productions, including Marit Γstberg's Share (2010) and Cheryl Dunye's Mommy Is Coming (2012). She also appeared in multiple films from the XConfessions series, established by Β·Erika Lust.
Starting in 2015, Pappel transitioned into producing and directing various projects. She remains a prominent figure in Berlin's queer feminist porn community and is celebrated as an icon in alternative porn culture. She champions sex-positive and consent-based sexual ethics. Furthermore, Paulita Pappel is a co-organizer and manager of the Berlin Pornfilmfestival.
In 2016, she launched [suspicious link removed], a platform dedicated to the intimate lives of real-life couples globally who film and share their experiences with the community. In 2020, she founded HARDWERK, a production company, alongside [suspicious link removed], a pro-sex feminist film platform specializing in gangbang-themed content.
