Adriana Vieira, 31, jumped into the water near the Rickenbacker Causeway on September 21 and never resurfaced, the City of Miami Police Department confirmed to Newsweek. Emergency crews responded to the scene around 8:30 p.m.

Vieira's body was found a short time later and taken to Ryder Trauma Center in Miami where she was pronounced dead. Vieira's autopsy report states her cause of death is drowning and the manner of death is an accident.
