About Monica Bellucci
Monica Anna Maria Bellucci is an Italian actress, fashion model and glamour model.
Bellucci initially pursued a career in law and began modeling while attending the University of Perugia to help pay for her studies. In 1988, she joined Elite Model Management, moved to Milan and worked with designers including Dolce & Gabbana.
Bellucci made her television acting debut in 1990 in the miniseries Vita coi figli and her feature film debut the following year. Her first American role was as one of Dracula's brides in Francis Ford Coppola's Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992). Many of her early films were Italian productions. She later worked in French cinema and received a César Award nomination for Most Promising Actress for The Apartment (1996). In Giuseppe Tornatore's Malèna (2000), a fantasy sequence involving nudity was cut from the U.S. release, which was shortened by roughly 16 minutes to secure an R rating. The original version remains uncut. Her other credits include Brotherhood of the Wolf (2001), Irréversible (2002), The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions (both 2003) as Persephone, The Passion of the Christ (2004) as Mary Magdalene, and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024).
In Spectre (2015), Bellucci played Lucia Sciarra, James Bond's love interest. At 51 at the time of the film's release, she became the oldest Bond Girl on record, surpassing Honor Blackman.
Bellucci is of French and Italian descent. She is the only child of Pasquale Bellucci and Brunella Briganti. She was married to Claudio Carlos Basso from 1990 to 1994. She married Vincent Cassel in 1999, and the couple divorced in August 2013. She has two daughters, Deva and Leonie. She is fluent in Italian, French, Portuguese and English and has performed in additional languages.

I've always liked her over a long period of time but I was a bit surprised to see her at number one being over 60. But, I guess people are voting for her from her younger days. I'm older than she is but I look old. She doesn't.

The difference between 25 and 1 is currently 0.02 rating points (9.02 to 9.04). Think about that for a moment. By any metric, that is statistically insignificant. Dismissing her rating as the result of "alt accounts" and "vote manipulation" (with no proof whatsoever) is irrational. Also, Monica only has 1834 votes. Sydney Sweeney has nearly twice as many votes as Monica. Ana de Armas and Alexandria Daddario are closing in on three times as many votes as Monica. Just sayin...
Monica has made many, many "Most Beautiful Women in the World" lists for a few decades. She has a lot of fans, and she has become even more well-known and popular after her role in "Spectre."

I'd add the turning point in her career to become worldwide popular, outside of Italy, is when she starred in one of the Matrix movies, 25 years ago or so.

The Matrix films did incredibly well internationally, so they probably had a bigger impact. Still, it's hard to quantify how much becoming a "Bond Girl" boosts a lady's career. It's probably not as much now as it was in the '60s and '70s, but you are still guaranteed to be all over the internet!

no.Nobody cares for Bond girls nowadays "on the internet" ( that gives away your age without the "old man" in your username). Perhaps boomers,yes, but nobody middle aged or especially young nowadays gives a toss. Look up the audience ages for the Daniel Craig and Brosnan movies when they first came out, especially Craig films, the audience ages speak for themselves average age was in their late 40s. Those people are in their 50s and 60s now.

you need to understand that normies and generic people who stumble unto this site vote for known faces, and Armas has been in the media a lot, same for Sweeney and a few others, constantly in recent years, especially last 2 years. So it makes perfect sense. Bellucci used to be known, but not much anymore, so her time in the top will not be long for obvious reasons.

I agree with most of what you are saying. To some extent, the Top 25 is definitely a popularity contest.
Eventually, Monica, Jennifer Connely, etc. will drop out of the list. However, I don't see Monica leaving any time soon. She hasn't done much in the last decade, but she's still here, because she's beautiful AND popular.
