Annita Demetriou is a Cypriot politician who has served as the President of the Cypriot House of Representatives since June 2021 and as the President of the Democratic Rally since March 2023. Born in Troulloi, Cyprus, she is the first woman and youngest person to hold these top positions, representing the Larnaca constituency in the House of Representatives since 2016. Known for her authoritarian streak, Demetriou has been criticized for being whiney and for talking down to people, while also actively proposing legislation on various social issues.
