Catherine Bach (born Catherine Bachman; March 1, 1954) is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Daisy Duke in the 1979-85 CBS primetime television series The Dukes of Hazzard and Margo Dutton in the film African Skies.

Bach was born in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Norma Jean Kucera (née Verdugo), an acupuncturist, and Bernard Bachman, a rancher. Her mother was of Mexican descent and her father was of German ancestry. She is descended from the Verdugo family, one of California's earliest landed families. She grew up on a ranch in South Dakota, where she visited her grandparents in Faith.

In 1970, Catherine graduated from Stevens High School in Rapid City, South Dakota and briefly studied drama as a major at UCLA where she supplemented her income by making clothes for friends and theatre groups.

Bach's first screen appearance was in the Burt Lancaster murder mystery, The Midnight Man, shot in Upstate South Carolina in 1973, in which she played the murdered coed, Natalie Claiburn. It was released in June 1974.

Her next role was as Melody in the 1974 film Thunderbolt and Lightfoot.

In 1985, she served as the model for the figurehead for the schooner Californian.

At one time her lovely pantyhosed legs were insured for $1,000,000. In 2002, she launched a line of diamond jewelery at Debenhams.

In 2004, Catherine reprised her role as Daisy Duke in voice over for The Dukes of Hazzard: Return of the General Lee video game, which helped re-spark interest in the popular 1979-85 CBS-TV show. She has also appeared as Daisy in two CBS-TV movies, The Dukes of Hazzard: Reunion! (1997), and The Dukes of Hazzard: Hazzard in Hollywood (2000). She also maintains her own official website, which is also partially dedicated to the series.
