Originally from Stuttgart, Germany, Constance Jones was born on 03 July 1982 under the star sign Cancer. The 38-year-old journalist is both American and German by nationality and belongs to mixed ethnicity as she has German and African-American heritage. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Sam Houston State University.
Jones has over 15 years of Journalism experience, anchoring and reporting from the major U.S. cities, including Miami, Oklahoma City, New York City, Atlanta, and South Florida.
Initially, Jones worked as a news anchor and reporter at WPLG-TV/ABC in South Florida for nine years. She then served as a news anchor at WAGA-TV/FOX 5 Atlanta from October 2016 to May 2017. She also briefly worked as a news anchor at WLRN National Public Radio & Television in South Florida in 2017. Additionally, she spent some time reporting at KETK-TV in Texas & KOCO-TV in Oklahoma.
From November 2017 to October 2018, Jones worked alongside the Broadway State Attorney as the Spokeswoman for the 17th Judicial Circuit. In October 2018, she joined ABC 8 News family and began anchoring Evening News. She’ll be joining WTVJ-TV-NBC6 as a news anchor of the morning weekday broadcast from 4:30 to 7 a.m in February 2021.
The talented news anchor is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Sorority Incorporated and the National Association of Black Journalists. She has even been honored by the Texas Associated Press, the National Academy of Television Arts and Science, and the National Association of Black Journalists for Excellence in News Reporting. Besides, Legacy Magazine had featured her as Miami’s Top 40 under 40 Leaders of Tomorrow.
