About Debbie Harry
Deborah Ann Harry is an American singer, songwriter and actress, known as the lead vocalist of the band Blondie. Her recordings with the band reached No. 1 in the US and UK charts on many occasions from 1979 to 2017.
Fun fact: Debbie worked in New York City's Playboy Club from 1968 to '73
(Addendum and Update(s), 2023: As usual, I'm simply noting any discrepancies between my sources' version and the previous author's sources, even though my sources are so obviously so much better. Which is big of me, I have to admit. Anyway, as noted Debbie Harry was born under the sign of Cancer, with all that THAT implies. Her birth name, however, was actually Angela Tremble. It wasn't quite a Phoebe and Ursula Buffay moment, but close. At the age of 3 months, she was adopted by a couple in Hawthorne, NJ who ran a gift shop. They, of course, were named the Gumps (just kidding!) and made her official name Deborah Ann Harry.
(Debbie learned of her adoption at the tender age of 4, and, much later, like in the late 1980s, she tracked down her birth mother, who refused to have any contact with her. (Harsh much?) Debbie want on to console herself with becoming a huge international rock star. She of course is best known even today as the lead singer of the new wave band Blondie, whose recordings with them reached the 1 position in both the U.S. and U.K. on many occasions from 1978-1981, and once again 1 on the U.K. charts in 1999, after the band reformed.
(She is considered the first rapper to chart at #1 in the U.S. owing almost exclusively to her work on "Rapture", which is a hella song. She went on to achieve solo success, though mainly in Europe, before reforming Blondie in the late 1990s. There is still a tendency in some quarters to call her by the band's name, which is technically incorrect. Then again, I can't recall a single one of her backup musicians--all more or less implied boy-toys, who had blonde hair, so maybe it is kind of understandable. Anyway...
(In addition to her obvious "chops" as a singer and songwriter, she's also owed props as an actress, Her acting career has included over 60 film roles and numerous TV appearances. She has also performed numerous children's puppet shows in the park, although the latter statement is more of an unconfirmed rumor. My own sources list her measurements as 33-24-33, with a 38B cup size. And with that, Your Honor, the defense rests. Although we reserve the right to recall any hostile witnesses later for rebuttal.
(TRIVIA: Debbie attended Hawthorne High School, graduating in 1963. She graduated from Centenary College in Hackettstown, NJ, with an AA degree, in 1965. All of these involved her actually surviving being brought up in New Jersey, which is perhaps her the most stunning of her many achievements. Before she began her singing career, she worked at a wide variety of odd jobs (after moving to the dreaded NYC in the late 1960s), including a year served as a secretary at BBC Radio's office, and a stint as a waitress at Max's Kansas City. She has also been a go-go dancer in a Union City, NJ discotheque, and a Playboy Bunny (as previously referenced. And, if there's to be no cross-examination, Your Honor...)

(P.S. She has 5.8k followers on her Instagram account. If she keeps this up, she could soon reach #1 "l" status, and then who knows?)
