Dolly Rebecca Parton is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, actress, author, businesswoman, and humanitarian, known primarily for her work in country music.

After achieving success as a songwriter for others, Parton made her album debut in 1967 with Hello, I'm Dolly, which led to success throughout the 1960s. Dolly then became a massive global star in the 1970s/80s. Dolly continued this success through to the present day and is one if the most recognised woman in the world. She has sold more than 100 million records worldwide.

Parton is also an actress and made her first feature film in a leading role 1980, portraying a secretary with Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin in the comedy film 9 to 5. 9 to 5 was a big hit, and she followed this up with other successful film roles, including The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (1982), Rhinestone (1984) and Steel Magnolias (1989).

Parton turned down several offers to pose nude for Playboy magazine, but did appear on the cover of the October 1978 issue wearing a Playboy bunny outfit, complete with ears.

Parton is known for her hour glass figure and large breasts (which originally were 36DD, before enhancement). Dolly has undergone considerable plastic surgery over the years, increasing the size and shape of her breasts to a current 36EE On a 2003 episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show, Winfrey asked what kind of cosmetic surgery Parton had undergone. Parton replied that cosmetic surgery was imperative in keeping with her famous image, Parton has repeatedly joked about her physical image and surgeries, saying, "It takes a lot of money to look this cheap."

As of April 2024, she has amassed 6.9 million followers on Instagram, 3.2 million followers on TikTok and 1.11 million subscribers on her YouTube platform.
