About Dominique Sanda

Born in Paris into a bourgeois, Catholic family, she left school at 13 to become a model, appearing on the cover of Vogue in 1968. She was discovered by Robert Bresson, who, struck by her presence and her tone of voice, made her debut as the tragic and intense protagonist of his film "So beautiful, so sweet (1969)".

In the first half of the seventies, her most interesting period professionally, she took part in a long series of auteur films, giving life to difficult, ambiguous and tormented and extremely fascinating characters.
