Eliana lived between the ages of five and fifteen on the shores of Lake Maggiore, in Luino, where at the age of 12 she worked as a DJ for the local radio station Radio Stereo 4. It was also in Luino that she attended the first and part of the second school year, and then went to live in Germany and subsequently to boarding school in Cortina d'Ampezzo. Speak German at native level.
After other moves she finally settled in Rome, where she began working as a model. Here she met the director Marco Risi, but when their son, Andrea Miglio Risi, was born, the relationship ended. At the beginning of her career as a presenter and actress she used the stage name Eliana Hoppe.
