Elisabeth Röhm is a German-American actress who has appeared in various television and film roles. She was born in Düsseldorf, Germany, on April 28, 1973. She moved to New York City with her family when she was less than a year old. She graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 1996, where she studied writing and European history.
Röhm began her acting career in 1997, playing Dorothy Hayes in the soap opera One Life to Live. She gained recognition for her roles as Detective Kate Lockley in the supernatural drama Angel from 1999 to 2001, and as Assistant District Attorney Serena Southerlyn in the crime drama Law & Order from 2001 to 2005. She also starred in the short-lived series Bull and Stalker, and had guest appearances in shows like The Mentalist, Hawaii Five-0, NCIS, and Flaked.
Röhm has also worked in films, such as Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous, Abduction, American Hustle, Joy, Once Upon a Time in Venice, The Tribes of Palos Verdes, and Bombshell. She has received critical acclaim and awards for some of her performances, especially in the films directed by David O. Russell.
