About Ellen Jabour
Brazilian presenter and former model. In 1991, at the age of thirteen, she was discovered by a fashion producer when she participated in a beauty contest where she was chosen as " Alternative Girl", in a world surfing championship. She signed with Ford Models and lived in several cities such as London, New York and Tokyo to model. In 1995 she participated in the music video for the song "Sou como um rio", by the Portuguese group Delfins, filmed in Rio de Janeiro by Kiko Araújo. She also participated in the music video for the song "How You Are Gonna See Me Now" by the rock band Easy Rider from Minas Gerais. His first job on television was commanding the program Revista Celebridades, on the cable channel Multishow , which earned him a contract on Rede Globo, being a reporter for the program Vídeo Show from 2006 to 2008. Then came his participation in the first chapter of the soap opera Cobras & Lagartos, where she acted as herself, and then played the character Suzi in the miniseries Poeira em Alto Mar.
In September 2008, he debuted on SBT presenting the program Olha Você alongside Alexandre Bacci, Claudete Troiano and Francesco Tarallo. In 2009, she signed a contract with Fashion TV Brasil, to present the program Estilo Brasil and covered Fashion Rio in the last fashion season. In 2011, he started working at MTV Brasil as a VJ, debuting on the network with Top 10 MTV. On September 14 of the same year, he debuted the channel's new program, Luv MTV, leaving command of the Top 10 MTV.
Controversy
In 2004, Ellen Jabour had her name linked to an investigation into fraud and bribery payments at the Ministry of Health, carried out by the Public Ministry and the Federal Police, the so-called " Operation Vampire ". Her father, lobbyist Jaisler Jabour de Alvarenga, suspected of participating in fraud in Health tenders, was charged by the Public Prosecutor's Office for forming a gang, bidding fraud, active corruption and money laundering. Ellen, placed as her father's partner in the company ITCLab together with her sister Kelly, signed checks worth one million reais and was also called upon to provide clarifications about her real participation in the family company and in the case investigated, suspected of having been used by their father as " exchanges " in the company. Neither she nor her sister were part of the list of 33 accused of corruption and gang formation by the Attorney General's Office of the Federal Public Ministry.
As of March 2024, she has amassed 137,000 followers on Instagram & 15,000 subscribers on her YouTube platform.
