According to the Russ Meyer biography by Jimmy McDonough (Big Bosoms and Square Jaws - The Biography of Russ Meyer) she "was murdered not long after making Beneath the Valley of the Ultra-Vixens. According to (Roger) Ebert, a drug dealer was going to shoot her boyfriend. "She stood in front of the guy to protect him and took the bullet."
