About Marilyn Waltz

Marilyn Ardith Jordan (née Waltz; November 5, 1931 – December 23, 2006) was an American actress and model. Using the pseudonym Margaret Scott, she was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for the February 1954 issue.

Known as Marilyn Waltz, (later Marilyn Jordan), she also appeared as Playmate of the Month in the April 1954 and April 1955 issues. She was the first of two women to become a three-time Playmate (the other being Janet Pilgrim). In her first Playboy appearance, Waltz was billed as Margaret Scott. For years thereafter, many assumed that Marilyn and Margaret were two different women. It was not until the mid-1990s that they were determined to be one and the same.

Waltz was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin in 1931. In 1954, she starred in the film Love Me Madly alongside Al Molinaro. Four years later, in 1958, she married Breck Jordan. After retiring from acting and modeling, she worked in real estate in Southern California. In 1993, she moved to Oregon. She retired from real estate in 1996.

She was Playboy magazine's first three-time Playmate of the Month, appearing in the February 1954, April 1954 and April 1955 issues. For Waltz' first Playmate appearance, however, she was billed as "Margaret Scott".

It was not until 1996 that Hugh Hefner realized she duped and tricked them back in 1954. Namely, it was not until 1955 that Playboy started to use their own photographers. Until then they bought photos from independent firms and photographers. She changed heir hairstyle and went by a fake name the first time, Margaret Scott. Hefner thought there was only 1 woman that got the title 3 times, their own playboy secretary for decades, Janet Pilgrim (July 1955, December 1955 & October 1956), and that Waltz only got it twice, in April 1955 & April 1956(right after no issue in March 1955), much like Margie Harrison in January & June 1955, also a secretary of Playboy at the time, and Marguerite Empey in May 1955(right after Waltz 2nd outing) & February 1956.
A total of 4 women got the title more than once, 2 of them twice( Harrison in 1954, Empey in 1955 and 1956) and 2 of them thrice( Pilgrim twice in 1955 and once in 1956) and as Hef realized only in 1996...Waltz got it once in 1955 and TWICE in 1954.
After 43 years since taking the photos for the first 2 playmate shoots(under different names) in 1953,Waltz then confirmed it also in 1953. Tricked the system.
