About Tina Ruland
Bettina "Tina" Ruland (born October 9, 1966 in Cologne) is a German actress and singer. She had her breakthrough in 1991 as hairdresser "Uschi" in the action comedy Manta, Manta.
Ruland's father worked at Mercedes, her mother at a telephone exchange. Ruland grew up with an older sister, initially attended the Kaiserin-Theophanu-Gymnasium in Cologne-Kalk and then transferred to the Johann-Gottfried-Herder-Gymnasium in Cologne-Buchheim. Here she completed her Abitur in 1987, then trained as a clerk in the real estate and housing industry at the vocational school in Ratingen - Hösel.
Before her film and television career, Ruland was Playboy's " Playmate of the Month" in March 1988. She then appeared on the cover of the May 1989 issue and on the cover and in photo series in the September 1995 and October 2013 Playboy issues.
Ruland made her first appearance on television in October 1988 as a background singer for the band Bad Boys Blue in the ZDF hit parade with the song A World Without You. [ 3 ] In November 1989 she appeared in the music show Die Spielbude.
Ruland has played in over 70 film and television productions (as of 2023). She made her acting debut in 1991 in an episode of the television series Die Liebenverwandten directed by Michael Pfleghar. In the same year, she had her breakthrough as hairdresser 'Uschi' alongside Til Schweiger in the action comedy Manta, Manta. Since then she has been seen mainly in television films, series and series. From 1993 to 1998 she played a recurring leading role alongside Sabine Postel as staff doctor Henrietta "Jenny" Schefer in the ARD family series Nicht von schlechte Eltern. In 1996 and 1997 she was cast in the role of the princess by the Czech director Václav Vorlíček in his fairy tale films Das Zauberbuch and Der Feuervogel. In 2018, Ruland took part in the 11th season of the RTL show Let's Dance alongside professional dancer Vadim Garbuzov and was eliminated in the first round. In 2022, she finished eighth in the 15th season of I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here!.
During the filming of The Firebird, Ruland met the actor and voice artist Manou Lubowski, with whom she was in a relationship from 1997 to 2001. With her partner from 2003 to 2006, the German-Moroccan entrepreneur Alain Rahmoune, she had a son (* 2004). From her relationship with the management consultant Claus Oldörp from 2010 to 2019, she has another son (* 2010). Since the separation, she has lived with her children in Berlin-Zehlendorf.
