About Yvette Mimieux
(General informational note: Previously, there was another bio here--brief, as I recall--to which I appended my own notes. It's gone now, and I just want everyone to know I didn't wipe it. I'm not comfortable with that sort of thing. I'd reproduce it, if I could do so from memory, and I invite the previous author to do so if they're still around. I only recall that there WERE some distinct differences in the biographies, which is actually fairly common in the field. When in doubt, find a source you trust and cross-check. Wikipedia is usually my go-to.)
For what it's worth, folks, here's my own research on YM, with some notable discrepancies to the account: Birth as 1-8-42, in LA, CA; death as 1-18-22 at 80 YO; French father, Mexican mother (those damn foreigners again, taking over everything!) Obv,, US film and TV actress. In her first NEAR brush with fame, she was auditioned for Elvis' JAILHOUSE ROCK in '57 as a bathing suit beauty, and was one of 4 finalists. Alas, she didn't make the cut; her first actual film role came in 1960 with PLATINUM HIGH SCHOOL. Same year, she was in THE TIME MACHINE as Weena (her breakout role) and the teen comedy WHERE THE BOYS ARE. She was 5'4", 119#, 31-24-33 and a 36B cup size. Dress and shoe size not listed. Blonde hair, blue eyes, Caucasian. Heil Hitler! Well, that's hardly fair, but she DID fit fairly squarely within the Aryan ideal. Looks like she had about 20 years on me; too bad I didn't live in Hollywood and that the whole cougar phenomenon happened so late. Boy, the roads not taken, eh?-
