About Zawe Ashton
She is the eldest of three children born to Victoria, a Ugandan mother, and Paul Ashton, an English father. From the age of six, she attended the Anna Scher Theatre School and was a member of the National Youth Theatre. She studied acting at the Manchester School of Theatre. Paulo Muwanga, her maternal grandpa, was the former President and Prime Minister of Uganda.
Ashton is engaged to Tom Hiddleston, an English actor. The couple has a single child.
