In February of last year, we published a poll to ask our users about their opinions about transgender people. In retrospect, we made a couple of mistakes here. First, some argued that it should’ve been a simple yes/no question instead of having two yes options. Second, the poll software allowed tech-savvy users to vote multiple times, which we believe happened many times. Third, we didn’t change our policy or communicate properly after the poll concluded. This is causing some frustration among users. So we’ve decided to run a new poll for a few days.
Poll results
The poll ran from January 17 to January 20. We received 372 votes from registered users. A handful of “no” votes were rejected because some users still tried to vote multiple times (using multiple accounts). These didn’t affect the outcome much. Here are the results:
Conclusion
There is a clear majority for all four questions, and “no” won each time. So, moving forward, we’re changing our policy:
- We are not accepting profiles to be created for transgender people.
- We will be removing existing profiles for transgender people. Given a lack of time and resources, we cannot screen all 120k+ profiles. So, we’re asking the users to inform us when they see such a profile page. You can comment here or use the contact form to reach us. Please do not post in the comments of the profile page, as we don’t monitor all profile page comments.
- In the past, we made an exception for Ines Rau and Geena Rocero, intending to keep our archive of Playboy Playmates 100% complete. We will continue doing this and keep these profile pages up.
- Since the poll results are clear, we are not planning on revisiting this subject anytime soon.
As Trump says there are only man and female people ๐ฅฐ! The majority of babepedia users give their voice๐. Should we thank God for it๐?
Why sully the results with such an ignoramus response? Are you and that “stable genius” not aware that there are also some small instances of people born with both sexes? Hermaphrodites have existed long before medical procedures and the act of transitioning were ever a thing.
Even though the desired outcome (for THIS website) was reached, don’t be a jackhole about it and pretend others don’t exist.
Also, 2/3rds of 372 votes is a pretty small user base if that is really the “majority of babepedia users”.
Hermaphrodite was finally a male because he make sex with the nymph salmakis๐ฐ! So there are only two genders: one which give sperm and one who give birth๐. Do you really know Greek mythology๐?
Again, stop “revisiting” this topic. If the men into feminine men, want to see that, create a different site for them.
Please note the last line in this blog post: “Since the poll results are clear, we are not planning on revisiting this subject anytime soon.”
First, I am quite surprised. Even if the majority voted one way, I would have thought Babepedia would decide the other way, regardless, but I am very, very happy.
Second, are there not two transgender playmates? Ines Rau and Geena Rocero.
Finally, Ellen Page, I think should also be granted an exception, because unlike all other trans models (male to female), she was female to male with several pieces where her gender was key, i.e. Juno-film. I cannot think of any other such actresses that the situation would apply to. Most are only known after their change.
Also, what about non-binary individuals, like Bella Ramsey, this is where I feel should be different because they are technically still biological females. Just my thoughts.
You’re right about Geena Rocero. We completely forgot about her and will include her as an exception, since she is also a Playmate.
Regarding Ellen/Elliot Page, we have already removed her/him, as there was also a majority for “no” to the 4th question. There are people who see her as a male and don’t want him on the site. And there are people who dislike our Ellen Page page because it’s considered deadnaming.
As for Bella Ramsey, we can keep her page up. As you said, still a female, biologically.
Yeah, I completely understand that. You make very good points. However, I personally strongly disagree regarding the deadnaming argument, but I am not getting into that debate here.
Thank you for respecting the wishes of those of us who do not want trans models on the site.
The wishes of the minority that decided to vote on a 4-day poll instead of a 5-day poll. But that’s neither here nor there, right?
You are pretty gay if you don’t like trannies.
I know you’re trolling or at least I hope so. But, the people have spoken & heterosexual men don’t want feminine gay men on here mixed in with real biological women. Again, to each their own, but why not just create a site dedicated to feminine men & the men into them?
Real biological women? That is a bit redundant but the redundance is the least of what is wrong with your reply. There are straight men that wanted transwomen here. No gay man is into transwomen or even transmen to a degree. The only men that desire transwomen are bi men and straight men, more so straight men actually. As for them having their own site, there just isn’t enough transwomen as they are super niche. Which is why it wouldn’t have been a problem having transwomen here. The ratio would have swamped out the transwomen 10 to 1. You would have had to go to the search bar and know the transwoman’s name.
You are wrong. Basically, about everything you are saying.
Cause you are stuck in your anti-trans bias that you don’t wanna accept new info brought to light and to your attention. You are no better than these trans activists that go too far.
You are right, studies showed that the majority of men attracted to transwomen are straight.
That’s not true about the majority, to be clear, I myself am attracted to trans women provided they possess qualities I find appealing and hot, the same goes for women too.
But majority of men are straight and are not attracted to trans women as still most of the world considers it to homosexuality to some extent.
It’s totally up to an individual to have a strict preference, one way or another.
And you denying the preference of the straight guy is just attacking his own independent choice.
@Forgetmaster
Lol a study was done dude. Unless you wanna call people liars the study showed straight men were the ones that beat out gays and bisexuals. However, it was gays who didn’t mind acting on those feelings most. Meaning straight men liked them more but were too afraid of the judgement most likely.
@Giles I wish y’all would fix the comments/replies integration so replies directed at specific comments actually thread from that comment. Right now hitting ‘reply’ just makes the page hiccup and then you scroll to the comment box and assume (like I did) that the reply links to the comment.
That/this is annoying.
Thanks for bringing this up. A recent update broke the reply functionality. We’ve just looked into it and fixed it.
The comment issue clarifies the confusion with the Trump comment too. I’ve removed those comments and nested the others.
@Gilles — Thanks man, and sorry for my own frustration in trying to clarify who I was replying to.
And I’m glad that you’re addressing the ‘reply to comment’ function here, but can y’all also do it for the rest of the site? As it is, any comment with more than one reply beneath it all carry the exact same ‘arrow icon’ and identical indentation so it is impossible to know what is a reply to whom. Or at the very least attach an ‘@username’ response to the top of each reply so it’s apparent who they’re addressed to.
They’re two very different systems, but we’ll consider it.
As an encylopedia of hotness. We should aim to include all of it. It’ll serve us as an encylopedia better if we did this.
Plus, if we’re serious about voting, why should less than 400 users decide what over a 100,000 see?
We have accepted AI models in a poll, who are technically “not women”, this is a similar technicality, I fail to see why there’s this deletionist approach in an encylopedia that’s not Wikipedia.
And if we’re already including two, due to subjective exceptions (Playboy models should 100% complete), why should this be any different, once you’ve had exceptions, and keep having exceptions, the floodgates will be opened in the form of playboy models in the future, this is a paradoxical position for Babepedia to be in.
We could have Penthouse, Hustler, etc. all field such exceptional models, further blurring the line between what to include and what not to include.
@Chantern15
I feel this way, ok do away with transwomen but also put AI models on the chopping block. At least transwomen are real and work hard to look good.
@douggy510
Quite so, I feel that all our models should be present, it acts as archive and history.
This exclusion is arbitrary and contradictory, and undermines babepedia’s collection.
So when there’s a transphobic backlash there’s this poll and people vote “no”. Surprising.
I hear you but in fairness they could have just banned them outright with no feedback from users.
@Chantern15
The sad part is people think that there is a Trans version of Babepedia out there and there isn’t. There are some sites that come sorta close but no exact counterpart. So people need to stop thinking there is.
I think that’s just an excuse to not have them here.
You lost. Babepedia cannot help it, that only a small number of people voted. There is no such thing as transgender in my opinion, take that nonsense to another site. But again, you lost. Get over it. You do not like the outcome, which is fairly typical.
They pulled the poll a day short so yeah they are in control of that. Keep the damn poll up the full 5 days instead of cutting it early. Also you sound like a typical sore winner who can’t handle when people vent. I’m sure if the poll went different you would shoot your mouth off too. Don’t act like you wouldn’t, you would stomp your feet all the way to a different site. You get over other people having an opinion. You folks wanna act like this site is perfect and trans people would have ruined it? News flash for you this site has problems, such as bots, voting fraud and people with like 100 alt accounts. But honestly the biggest problem is people being self-serving and only seeing things one way for them. Seems like only few members work together to help this site and Babepedia can’t do everything itself. You gotta wait awhile just for them to respond to your contact message. But ohhhh transwomen would have broken the site…lol, ok.
@Chantern15
No doubt, among other excuses that are moot.
Indeed, most unfortunate, but that is the hand that has been dealt.
The silent majority has spoken and said no, long live real women
Majority? First off the poll was cut a day short and secondly only hundreds out of thousands participated. Seems like to me the minority spoke for the majority.
Aznude seems to be the only “encylopedic” website which allows all sorts of people to be listed, regardless of their physical characteristics. That is the only one which remains, perhaps it would be good to contribute there instead of here.
If you have accepted submissions here, my advice would be to transfer them over to aznude, it has simpler process too.
@Chantern15
I heard of it but do they allow members to edit info like Babepedia? Also i’m not looking to jump ship yet but i have to say…
The other members being trolls, bullies and clowns are making it a rough time here.
Members are either self-serving, thuggish or sick.
Yes, they allow members to edit like babepedia
With lower standards of submission.
Only 4% of the population is bisexual, and only 1.15% of the population is transgender, so what makes you think that leaving this poll up for one more day would change anything?
@LeLoyon71
It’s the principle of it.
Also only a fraction of Babepedia users voted.
So you can see my issue here.
I think the main problem is people confuse trans activists with normal brained trans people just trying to live. They think in large only trans agenda pushers would be added here and not your typical model or adult actress. I blame the lunatics claiming to be trans and the mockingbird media on both sides for fueling fires.
@LeLoyon71
Also since you brought up sexuality, heterosexual men are into transwomen too. Studies were done.
Transwomen have actually confirmed that it’s mostly straight guys chasing them. Hence the insult “chaser”.
I know the poll is in and people have voted in favor of not adding and removes trans profiles.
Personally don’t mind transbabes and even like some, I want to be fully transparent, not to be biased.
And I obviously understand that, most of the users of this straight prefer women and would not like to see men on the site,
But I thought as long as there was a clear and infallible marker or tag that people wouldn’t mind or at least not interact with that page, but the poll proves that belief false too, so I don’t think things would change and they would be added anytime soon.
Regardless, for future reference I would like to make a suggestion to solve this issue, I would suggest looking into the setting on sites like namethatporn.com where they have straight as the default option as most people are into that, but there is a trans option which you can unable in setting, also PornHub has similar setting, so the user is in control of what he wants to see, and nothing is forced on anyone.
Personally that would be the best solution, this approach not only respects individual choices but also fosters an environment of inclusivity, without undermining any sides.
