Rise of the Fake Model

Being a full-time social media influencer has become one of the most desired career choices for young people all over the globe. Thanks to the promise of generating significant sums of money simply by sharing multimedia content online. An Instagram influencer with over a million followers can earn more than $250,000 per post from sponsors. As if that wasn’t enough, Kylie Jenner could even make $1 million from a single sponsored Instagram post.

Recently, a new trend has appeared: the fake model.

Our Gorgeous Young Fake Model

A couple of months ago, we were shocked to learn that a model, Olivia Casta, had risen to number 1 in our top 25 list. She appeared out of nowhere, and many people began to question whether or not she was a genuine person. If you search for her name on Google, you will get plenty of results that lead you to believe she is a real person. At the moment of writing this article, she has over 950k followers on Instagram and over 100k followers on Twitter. She has plenty of images on the net, but you can only find pictures of her shot from the front with her looking at the camera, never from the side.

The Claim

The claim is that her true identity is Maria Tretjakova and that she is using FaceApp AI app’s Teen filter to make her look younger and more beautiful. Maria is a 35-year old Russian model, a real beauty who has one of the most gorgeous bodies on this planet.

If you check out her TikTok videos, you will see videos of her where she looks almost like a different person and still only shows herself from the front. It’s as if the video filters aren’t as good as the photo filters. Knowing about the link between Maria and Olivia, you can see the resemblance is there.

Why?

As some have speculated, the Olivia Casta controversy may well be the work of Maria Tretjakova herself. Maria barely has a social media presence despite her stunning looks. She used to be an active model with her own Instagram, but all that has disappeared. You might be wondering, at this point, why she has been pretending to be someone else.

Fundamentally, the goal is to maximize profits. The folks of the internet are deeply obsessed with young girls. Since Maria is in her thirties, she cannot compete with younger teens on the market anymore. The younger you are, the cooler and more popular you are. If you are more popular, you get more likes, more followers, higher engagement and interaction, and, of course, higher paid contracts from big companies. Combined with her perfect looks, Olivia’s persona is a huge money maker.

The reality for women these days is that their ‘sexual market value’ starts dropping when they’re 20. Christian Rudder, co-founder of OkCupid, once looks at their data and said at a talk: “From the time you’re 22, you’ll be less hot than a 20-year-old”. If they want to make a career on OnlyFans, they better start early. Modern photo manipulation like FaceApp’s filter give women a cheat code that allows them to game the system.

Diana Deets aka Coconut Kitty

Another example of a woman using filters to enhance her beauty and decrease her age is Diana Deets. She has gained massive popularity on OnlyFans as Coconut Kitty. Contrary to Olivia Casta, Diana Deets is not making a secret out of her identity and is purposely leaving her old photos online. She told this in an interview by Rolling Stone in 2021. From a financial perspective, Diana made a really good decision. With a monthly subscription cost of $10.99 and over 10k subscribers, she is earning a lot of money.

Update in 2023: Unfortunately, Diana Deets took her own life in February of 2023. The following message was posted on her Instagram:

What does Babepedia do?

What should we do with these fake models? We decided to keep the profiles of both Olivia and Maria active, with a clear link between the two in the biography text. For now, this seems like the best decision.

  1. The scary thing about “Olivia Casta” is she gets about 120,000 likes on her Instagram picks and 1,800 comments and all those guys act like she is real. They are so horny they don’t care she is fake. The success of “Olivia Casta” and “Coconut Kitty” will only encourage more models to do this and make tons of money on Onlyfans.

  2. I think the current solution is the best one. Keep the profiles separate since these fake models are popular but make sure everyone knows they are not real. I get people will say “why don’t you have Jessica Rabbit or Disney Princesses then on the website”? I think this is very different.

    • I agree. If it is determined that the second model is a fake model of someone else, have a reference/link back to the original model.

  3. This is the internet, not the “real” world! Almost none of you guys will ever meet a real girl, let alone one like the girls here. I’ve read the comments, they could only be made by guys without any exposure to real girls.

Girls in all shapes and sizes are amazing, if they adjust a photo lens, cool, they became the fake you wanted. My personal choice is always natural, but I know many of you have never actually spent time with real girls so your fantasies rule.

  4. Casta is not fake she is enhanced just like Pamela Anderson and all the millions of other silicon filled girls. All she has done is make herself look like her younger self no different to wearing make up and an uplifting bra.

  5. First time I saw Olivia I immediately thought she looked too perfect to be real. In fact my comment to myself was “amazing how they can make a real girl look like a silicone sex doll these days”. From an aesthetic standpoint she’s beautiful to look at, but if Ms. Tretjakova is using this trick to make money, isn’t this kinda like a modeling version of Milli Vanilli?

    • well said, BDR. I think it’s important that people know, she is a creation of someone else, and with clever use of filters and AI. So, at least, people can fantasize about someone who doesn’t really exist. So long as everyone knows the truth, than it’s all good.

  6. Unlike the other models referenced, Diana Deets, (not her real name) did not alter her looks entirely for purposes of looking younger. Again unlike the others, she created a character called Coconut Kitty. CK was an Anime-like character using DD’s facial features as the foundation for the character. She saw this character as an expression of her imagination and had thoughts of making an adult cartoon character at some point. It was not meant to promote pedo’s to sexualize young girls, after all, she was 37 what would be the point? And she had 2 daughters. I never really understood her fascination with this CK character, but she was hell-bent on making it come alive. But she never was thinking in terms of sexualizing young girls for the benefit of pedophiles or other perverts. How that story became a cross she had to bear, made no sense. There were Christian-oriented groups that pounced on it after the Rolling Stones interview. And sadly, she was unable to shake the stigma associated with the contrived story of her CK character and pedophile baiting. I believe she went to her grave resenting the criticism, but I don’t believe she committed suicide as is widely reported. I believe in a depressed state of mind, she decided to medicate herself on opiates or benzos combined possibly with alcohol and accidentally OD’ed. She was just too persistent in pursuing her destiny of being an artist, a poet, an adult model, and a mom.

  7. I think to help minimize the dangerous effects of ‘ AI ‘ lying effectively, to too many people, it would be totally ok with me, if instagram and twitter, and facebook, and every other social media page, posts, as a requirement, a notice at the top of a fake model’s page, that ‘ the photos on this user’s page have been digitally manipulated to look different, than the person actually running this page, and is in the original versions of these manipulated images, actually looks like.. Enjoy ‘. NOTHING is wrong, with that ‘ disclaimer. No harm done, but a lie is simply presented, for what is actually is … a lie – people will still enjoy looking at the ‘ fantasy ‘.

  8. Diana Deets, 37 years old, committed suicide on February 12, 2023.
She battled with addiction and depression. She had 3 sisters and 2 children. She loved painting and had bought a farm, a retreat where she kept goats, ducks, a dog, and a cat. Read the article below for more and REMEMBER to seek help if you need it. All humans have inherent value, no life is meaningless (the “fog” and distractions in life sometimes make us forget this). Be blessed, friend.
