Around two years ago, a user named ForgetAboutIt suggested a personalized ranking system on our ideas page. It includes an example with Pokémon that shows you a large selection of Pokémon, and the user repeatedly chooses one or more favorites from a small selection. After a while, the system knows which is preferred and shows it as a favorite. The user can repeat these steps until a top 10 or top 20 of favorites is selected. The user can drag & drop favorites to make a final order. We like the idea but it didn’t receive many votes. Recently, another user, mrsecretoo, posted an enthusiastic comment, which brought it to our attention again. So we’ve decided to give the idea a chance.
We want to present our Favorite Picker to you. It’s a first test version, so please expect bugs. It currently uses the top 200 as starting point. When you’re done and have your favorites, nothing is done with these, and the selection is discarded when you close the browser.
Please let us know what you think about this in the comments. If many people like it, we will give it a visible place on the site. “Favorite Picker” is the name of the original script. If you have a good name, please put your suggestion in the comments. If you’d like to see specific features, please don’t hesitate to let us know, too.
We have some ideas in mind:
- Allowing the user to choose the starting set, like the current top 100, top 250, top 1000, specific lists, personal lists, personal ratings (e.g., all 10’s), or even the results from the advanced search tool.
- Allowing the user to save the list of favorites to a new personal list, which also stores the order.
- Allowing the user to choose the “batch size”, the number of babes on the page. It’s currently set to 20.
- Allowing the user to stop, save the picking process, and resume later.
- Using the results to influence the top 100 rankings.
UPDATE 07/08/2024: After reading your feedback, we realize that this idea does not seem enjoyable to most people. It’s too time-consuming, dull, or complicated. The proposed ideas require a serious time investment and it doesn’t seem worth it. So, we have decided that we will put it in the freezer.
Sorry, it’s too complicated 😞. I get a headache from your test💥. Why don’t you make just a list so I can decide which top 10 I prefer (200 are a little bit confusing🌴🌳🌲)?
It would be nice if you can have a link on each selection (or potential selection) that would allow you to open the Babe’s page in a separate tab, so you can evaluate her before voting. As it was I had to open a separate babepedia tab and manually type the Babe’s name in when I found one I wasn’t familiar with, which was quite a few.
Very good! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. This idea is, in my opinion, the best ever to appear on babepedia! And I fully support this system. It will be great, and it will help pass the time. It becomes very addictive! You have my full support for including this on the site.
It’s great to start with this test system. You’ve done a great job. Now I just think that this system should take only women that we have on our lists to play this way. Because as we well know, babepedia is a library full of women. And with that many, maybe the system would have more work. That’s why I think that just showing the ones we have in our created lists could be less laborious. The system could read what we’ve added and then work with the ones we’ve put on the lists.
Of course, doing this with other lists, such as the top 200 or 100, would also be a very positive addition to the idea. I think the more lists, the better. Looking forward to this idea becoming a reality on the site. It’s fantastic and very well thought out. It will be revolutionary, colleagues!
This turned out to be a waste of an hour of my time after I realized I just have to keep eliminating babes or there will be no progress after a while. And after a lot of elimination I just couldn’t play favorites anymore because I loved all the choices as I got closer to the end. I mean it’s basically asking me who my one favorite babe is out of the hundreds of thousands here on Babepedia and then telling me “hey, this is your one favorite babe”. Am I missing something with this tool?
got bored real fast with it !!!! theres not enough detail in the instructions in how the program works i ended up in an endless loop picking girls over and over again 10 mins l8 it got old and i stopped it was feeling like a waste of time instead of fun
I liked viola Bailey from Latvia to be my favourite- rest I just picked-There may have been 75 in that list- I didn’t proceed further because viola Bailey from Latvia should be among the 3 or so babes for- didn’t know when the list will come to top 5 or top 3 so I stopped happy that viola Bailey from Latvia is on my list- thank you
Works pretty good, think it would be better if it drew from each persons list/lists for them to pick from though.
There should be a selection limit and not allow the user to have the possibility of choosing them all, for example, when there are 20 girls you can only choose 10, and when there are 10 you can only choose 5, and so on, putting the user in a difficult position to think better when choosing.
From what I’ve read in some comments here, some have found it boring or tedious.
It’s worth pointing out that this is just a testing phase, folks. The developers can make better additions to this idea, so that it doesn’t get so boring for some.
For example, the part about doing it only for the women we have on our lists. And of course, once done, record a top 10, a top 15, a top 20, 30, 50 and even 100 if necessary. Each one numbered by position in the ranking. It’s going to be good! Trust me.
Of course, it could be even better if they were placed in a more comfortable space, next to each other. Not expanding the board so much to make more room for the others.
But the great expectation is that this system will bring improvements. Because when I went to play with it, most of the women who appeared in that top 200, I didn’t know. There were very few women I had seen before. So when it came to deciding which one I preferred, it was quite strange, because almost all of them I didn’t know.
But then again, this will go down much better when it’s the babies we’ve each added to our favorites and lists. I hope that’s the case.
