Abby Phillip is an American journalist who is currently working as a CNN Political Correspondent. Aside from reporting, she released her first book titled “THE DREAM DEFERRED,” released in 2022.

Originally from Bowie, Maryland, United States, Abby Phillip was born there on November 25, 1988, under the star sign Sagittarius. Her full name is Abigail Daniella Phillip. Abby is American by nationality and belongs to the Afro-Trinidadian ethnicity. She attended Bowie High School and later enrolled at Harvard University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in government in 2010.

As of December 2023, she has amassed 311,000 followers on Instagram.

Phillip joined CNN in 2017 to cover the Trump administration. She served as White House Correspondent through 2019 and covered the 2020 presidential campaign. She even moderated CNN’s Democratic Presidential Debate in Iowa in January 2020. Starting January 24, 2021, she’ll be taking the reins of Inside Politics Sunday from John King as a senior political correspondent.
