Daughter of the French actress Gaby André and the American entrepreneur Eli Smith, Carole entered the world of cinema as a teenager. Her fame is most linked to the interpretations of the Salgarian characters of Lady Marianna Guillonk, the Pearl of Labuan, in the drama Sandokan, and of Honorata Wan Guld in the film The Black Corsair, in both cases alongside Kabir Bedi and directed by Sergio Sollima .
