About Cristina Ferreira
Cristina Maria Jorge Ferreira, known only as Cristina Ferreira, is a female entrepreneur and Portuguese TV host who was born on September 9th, 1977, in the village of Malveira, municipality of Mafra, district of Lisbon, Portugal.
Having always been a good student, Cristina later graduated in History and was a secondary school teacher for two years. She also took the Communication Sciences degree and advised her to go on to take a television presentation degree. She did this degree with Emídio Rangel at the Independent University, in Lisbon, and had as her teachers Manuel Luís Goucha and Júlia Pinheiro.
Her first direct on TV was in the diaries of Big Brother and in the informative programme Diário da Manhã, at that time presented by Júlia Pinheiro.
Together with Manuel Luís Goucha, she hosted the morning talk show "Você na TV!", broadcast daily, except at the weekends, by TVI since 2004, which is a leader of audiences.
In 2006 she participated as a competitor in the program "Canta Por Mim". Three years later (2009), she made a small participation in the portuguese telenovela "Sentimentos", previously broadcast by TVI, making herself. Also together with Manuel Luís Goucha, Cristina presented the 4th season of the talent show "Uma Canção Para Ti".
In April 2011, she was considered the best TV presenter of the year, in the II Gala Trophies TV7Dias, succeeding to Júlia Pinheiro, who had been the winner of the first edition.
In 2012, she returned to host a primetime programme on Sunday nights, the talent show "A Tua Cara Não Me É Estranha", alongside Manuel Luís Goucha. During the time that this program was on the air, they reconciled the presentation of this program with the morning program "Você na TV!". Still in 2012, Cristina Ferreira returned to be voted Best Announcer of the Year, but this time in a vote made through the social networks of the internet, more specifically Facebook.
She also participated, in the company of Manuel Luís Goucha, in an episode of the comedy TV series "Giras e Falidas".
In 2013, Cristina returned again to present the third season of the talent show, "A Tua Cara Não Me É Estranha", alongside with Manuel Luís Goucha. She also made a special guest appearance on the TV show "Toda a Gente me Diz Isso", in which she pretended to be a look-alike of herself, working in a grocery store.
Also in 2013, she debuted solo on a Sunday and primetime TVI show titled "Dança Com as Estrelas", which ran during the summer. The programe initially started with losing, but as soon as the second gala became a national success, leading audiences.
From December 1st, 2013 until 2018, Cristina was nominate Director of Non-Informative Content of TVI in accumulation with her work as a TV host.
On August 24th, 2018 was announced by TVI the non-renewal of contract with Cristina. After 16 years in the television channel of Queluz de Baixo, she went to host TV programmes on the rival chanel of Carnaxide, SIC, between January 2019 until the summer of 2020, where she took charge of the new morning program "O Programa da Cristina" and the position of Executive Consultant of the Entertainment General Directorate.
On June 4th, 2008, Cristina became, for the first time in her life, mother of a boy, named Tiago, fruit of her relationship with the former football player, António Casinhas, for three years.
In the summer of 2011, she ended her relationship with António Casinhas. In the same year (2011) she was elected by the daily newspaper Correio da Manhã, through an enormous popular vote made by the public, as the sexiest woman in Portugal.
