How would you define your performance? Bourlesque? Or is it something more?
Definitely something more. Burlesque is an artistic genre that has existed since the end of the nineteenth century and has evolved over time. We performers today have the opportunity to contaminate and mix different art forms: there are those who are closer to circus, those to cabaret, those to dance, those to theatre. Burlesque is like a container that can hold any type of artistic expression. The only limit, perhaps, is linked to the more sensual and feminine part of us women, but also of male sensuality, because there are some male colleagues.
How did you get into burlesque?
I approached Burlesque five years ago, when I was in a phase where I was trying to experiment with new things involving eros and understand what kind of performer I wanted to be. By reading up on the topic I understood that something similar to what I wanted to do already existed, namely burlesque. I started looking and I found that in Rome there was a place, the Micca Club, where they did burlesque shows, and right in that period there was a casting. I participated and thus my adventure began.
