About Kay Parker

Kay Parker was a British porn star and B movie actress who later worked as a metaphysical counselor and mentor. She was the author of an autobiography, Taboo: Sacred, Don't Touch, which chronicles her life, including her work as an actress in adult films.

Born in Birmingham England, Kay was raised in a conservative household. She moved to the United States at the age of 21. After moving to the United States, she had a successful career in the import business. Kay reportedly was introduced to the adult film industry during the late 1970s by porn actor John Leslie, who suggested Kay to take part in one of Leslie's upcoming films at that time. Upon hearing that the film in question was a pornographic movie, Kay reportedly declined the initial offer. However, she eventually was eased into the industry by playing bit parts in non-sexual roles, until porn director Anthony Spinelli talked Kay into doing her first sex scene in the film, Sex World.

Kay's first onscreen sex partner was porn actor Joey Silvera. In various interviews Kay gave during her active years within the industry, she revealed that she and Silvera and got a bit carried away during their sex scene, which ultimately got so vigorous and so out of hand that one of Kay's teeth was chipped. Her chipped tooth is clearly visible in her subsequent films.

Shortly after the release of Sex World, Kay Parker quickly became a sensation in the adult film industry. She was becoming one of the most popular porn starlets at the time, as well as one of the most requested to work with by the male porn actors of the day. Her favorites included John Leslie, Paul Thomas, Herschel Savage, Mike Ranger, Joey Silvera, and Randy West.

She appeared in adult films during the late 1970s, and throughout most of the 1980s. She is best known for her very large natural breasts. Many of her devoted fans also greatly admire her for being a more mature pornographic actress (she was in her late thirties by the time she participated in hardcore sex scenes), as well for having a significant amount of dark pubic hair.

She also obtained a small part in the Burt Reynolds film, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (1982), where she can be seen during a quick scene at the beginning of the movie.

Kay Parker's most famous role was that of the incestous mother, Barbara Scott in the 1980 porn film Taboo, and its many sequels. In the original Taboo, Kay has sex with well-endowed porn actor Mike Ranger, who plays Barbara's son Paul. During the making of Taboo, as well as after the film was completed, Kay alluded in her commentary that she and Mike Ranger (whose penis reportedly measured 8½ inches) enjoyed quite a torrid sexual affair during this time.

In Taboo 2, Kay has sex with another well endowed porn actor Kevin James, who portrays a friend of Mike Ranger's character from the original.

The series of Taboo films developed a series of very devoted fans, especially those who like incest fantasies. (The series depicts sex between brothers and sisters, fathers and daughters, and mothers and sons.) Many male fans admired Kay as a "mother" they could fantasize about. She has even taken on a type of cult-like personna as many of her fans talk about her and their fantasies about her in chat rooms.

Kay Parker also continued her mature woman with a younger man's motif in some softcore films, such as Desert Winds (1995). She also played herself in the 2005 independent film Dick Ho: Asian Male Porn Star – a mockumentary about a fictional legendary Asian porn actor which included some interviews with known adult film actresses from the 70s in which they talk about their "memories" of the star.

Kay later worked as a New Age metaphysical counselor and lecturer. In 2001, she wrote a book titled Taboo: Sacred, Don't Touch, where she wrote about her early childhood, her career in the adult industry, and her experiences with the metaphysical.

Parker died in Los Angeles, CA on October 14, 2022, at the age of 78. Her family did not reveal the cause of her death.
