Generally, you'd want to marry for connection and personality, especially since a marriage would never last anywhere near into one's 50's and beyond without a proper foundation of connection. However, someone having a classic and timeless beauty would certainly be a positive secondary trait.

I dont think he ever said those things are not important. This is babepedia.com where people will mostly discuss woman from the visual apect. People say all the time some babe is wife material when they are only judging their beauty and theres nothing wrong with that. Beauty is good. But i can see how for someone like you that seem so worried about silly immature men being obsessed with beautifull women, him not mentionting her personality might cause your fingers to itch and the need to type something that will fix this problem. A problem that was never really a problem unless you happen have this mindset.

Also people will get married for all sorts of reasons, but i would imagine for many of us, being phisically attracted to the other person is of great importance. As much as anything else. Presumably youre gonna have a lot of sex with that person and if they dont turn you on or vice verse then the sex is not going to be great. How long does the connection last when your sex life is dead?

First, personality changes with age as much as appearance. Second, we evaluate personality largely based on the way a person looks anyway. An introverted, beautiful person is cute, an introverted, ugly person is awkward. A mean, beautiful person is feisty, a mean, ugly person is cruel. Ugly people are even considered creepy when they try to be nice - the 'nice guy' or 'pick-me girl' phenomenon. People try to cope by saying 'it's what's on the inside that counts,' but the reality is that all values have aesthetic criteria. Same reason people pay to visit butterfly enclosures but try to kill almost any other insect that gets near them.

Agree with you for the most part. But is there anything more superficial than judging peoples character or personality by how good looking or ugly they are? Maybe so but thats still messed up. More reasonable is judging by how they present themselves. Something i find myself doing it quite a bit here on babepedia. Not so much on clothes but things like piercings tattoos and multi colored hair for me are red flags. Not only do they look awfull but also might hint to mental health issues.

I agree it's not the right way to live. Definitely many people have been victimized because they assumed an attractive person would have good character. Much smarter to judge on presentation, since that's intentional and controllable.
