About Minna Kauppi
Minna-Mari Kauppi (born November 25, 1982 in Asikkala, Finland)) is a nine-time world champion from 2006 to 2012 and one of the most successful Finnish orienteering competitors. He is also a two-time European champion, multiple Finnish champion and two-time world junior champion. Kauppi also has three Finnish Championship bronze medals in cross-country running, in 2005, 2007 and 2009. The Finnish Association of Sports Journalists chose him as Finland's Athlete of the Year 2010.
(Orienteering is a sport where you walk in the terrain with the aim of finding the checkpoints marked on the map in the right order as quickly as possible. The terrain can be unbuilt nature, such as forest or built parks and urban areas. In addition to the map, a compass can be used to help you orienteer.)
