She began her modeling career in 1996 when she accepted an offer by Click Model Management in New York City. She was fifteen years old when she relocated to NYC permanently.
Myka starred in Duran Duran's 'Electric Barbarella' video.
In 2004, she turned her attention to the study of international affairs and economics. She is writing her honors thesis on democracy and Islam in Central Asia while interning for a non-profit, international women's human rights fund. She completed her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree in the spring of 2008.
