Sharon Vonne Stone is an American actress, producer, and former fashion model born on March 10, 1958, in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Raised in a working-class household, she was academically gifted, entering the second grade at age five and later earning a scholarship to Edinboro University of Pennsylvania at age fifteen to study creative writing and fine arts. After winning the Miss Pennsylvania beauty pageant, she chose to leave higher education behind to move to New York City, where she successfully signed with the Eileen Ford Modeling Agency and modeled internationally before transitioning into film.
