Digital influencer Aline Ferreira, 33, who died after complications resulting from an aesthetic procedure, paid R$ 3,000 for the intervention she underwent: the application of polymethylmethacrylate, also known as PMMA, on the buttocks. The information was confirmed by the Civil Police of Goiás.
The procedure was performed on June 23 at a clinic located in Goiânia. On the same day, Aline returned to the Federal District, where she lived, but began to feel sick days later and was hospitalized.
The person responsible for the procedure, Grazielly da Silva Barbosa, owns the clinic, which was closed due to lack of a license and the presentation of a responsible professional with the necessary qualification. She is in prison. Grazielly presented herself as a biomedical doctor, but had no training in the area.
