Gitta Saxx (born January 22, 1965 in Überlingen, Baden-Württemberg; as Gitta Ilona Sack) is a German model, photographer, and DJ.

Life
Saxx was born in Überlingen on Lake Constance, the daughter of a German kindergarten teacher and a Moroccan who worked in a travel agency in Switzerland. Her mother worked in a Protestant kindergarten in Konstanz, which fired her because of the illegitimate child; she then found a new job in Schramberg. Saxx spent seven years with foster parents. After her three-year vocational training as an optician, she moved to Stuttgart for professional reasons. In the early 1990s, she gave up her job as an optician to devote herself to her career as a model and moved to Munich.

Saxx lived in Austria from 2009 to 2016, then again in Munich, and since 2019 in Berlin. She is an ambassador for the charity project Global Family, for Pro Juventute, and the Fair Play Foundation.

She was dependent on a guru for eight years and lost a lot of money. In 2016, Saxx had to file for personal bankruptcy.

career
In 1988 she took part in a photo shoot for Playboy magazine and the following year was voted Playmate of the Year by readers. The well-known photographer Hans Feurer hired Saxx for an award-winning campaign for Kodak in 1990, which was produced in the Seychelles and marked her international breakthrough. This was followed by shoots for well-known swimwear and lingerie companies; Saxx was the face for cosmetics companies such as Maria Galland, Lancaster, Marbert, Margret Astor and Clarins, and shot with photographers Bruno Bisang, Conrad Godly, and Stefan Indlekofer, among others. She appeared on numerous covers of German magazines such as Stern, Für Sie, Freundin, and Brigitte. She also appeared in commercials for Douglas, C&A, “Kuschelrock Nr. 7” (from the CD series), and in music videos by Die Toten Hosen and Tom Novy.

In 2000, she was voted "Playmate of the Century" by Playboy magazine. After appearances on the Harald Schmidt Show and on Beckmann, she made guest appearances as an actress in television productions such as Unter uns and in the ProSieben film Mädchen Nr. 1.

She started her career as a DJ in 2002. She founded the project SAXX BEATZ with fellow DJ Markus Emig, which can be booked for events and fashion shows. Together with him and Samir Maslo, she produced the song A Touch of an Angel as a download single. As part of the SAXX BEATZ project, she released the CD Style Up Your Life! Vol.1 . She toured Germany, Austria, and Switzerland with the project. At Energy Munich, she had a lifestyle column called Saxx in the Cities, in which she reported on fashion and food trends in the city of Munich.

In 2009 she took part in the ORF dance show Dancing Stars in Austria. In 2011 she took part in the RTL reality show I'm a Star - Get Me Out of Here. In 2013 she appeared in the docusoap Promi Shopping Queen on VOX, where she won the episode. In the same year, she took part in the ORF production The Hardest Jobs in Austria. This was followed by the docusoap Promi-Frauentausch on RTL II as well as two participations in The Perfect Celebrity Dinner and the RTL TV show Yes We Can Dance. In 2015 she appeared on SWR in the show Krause Kommt, which reported on her life as a model and photographer.

As an author, Saxx has published her biography The Curves of My Life, the beauty guide Staying Young for Beginners, and a recipe book The Vegan Kitchen.

As a photo-artist, she photographed the 2015 ski instructor calendar, which had already been photographed by star photographers such as Hubertus von Hohenlohe. Since May 2015, she has been leading workshops on the subject of beauty, health and wellness on AIDA Cruises cruise ships, among others. Saxx is represented by the Munich-based agency Connections PR.

She appeared in Playboy again in the November 2018 issue. In August 2021, Saxx took part in the 9th season of Promi Big Brother on Sat.1 and finished 11th.
