About Katie Green
Katie Green (born 28 August 1987) is a British lingerie model. Katie first broke through in 2008 when she was chosen for a Wonderbra advertising campaign. As a result of this success, she signed up with Premier Model Agency, but shortly afterwords left them after being asked to lose 2 stone (28 lbs) in weight. Subsequently she has modelled for Ultimo, although she has since been sacked for being photographed topless. She has also been phographed for her own calendar for 2010, and her 2011 calendar will see her first topless posed photographs.
Although she often claimed to have size 30F breasts, the visual evidence did not back this up, and she fell significantly short. Hughes Models, her agents, listed her as having a 32D bust. However a change in her shape during 2014/5 became evident and by November 2015, Katie's bra size had reached 30F.
Katie campaigns for the banning of size 0 models.
Katie's potential was initially recognised by a Surrey photographer who arranged a test-shoot for her at a photographic studio in West Sussex. She subsequently modelled for a group of photographers on a regular basis to gain experience, and was then introduced to a top London photographer for whom she began to regularly model, paving the way for her successful career. She applied for FHM's High Street Honeys competition in 2007, getting into the top 10 in 2008, but getting no further.
Green attended an open casting in London in July 2008 along with 1,500 girls and had a few quick pictures taken in her underwear. A week later, The Daily Express newspaper ran a picture of her on Page 3, asking readers to contact them if they knew who she was as she had been selected as the new face of Wonderbra. Green contacted the newspaper and before she knew it, she was splashed across a large billboard in London's west end and on the packaging for their D to G cup range.
Green then went onto join Premier Model Management but later quit after being told she needed to lose 2 stone (28 lbs) and go from a UK size 12 to a UK size 8-10, despite being 5'10".
She signed with Unleashed PR and Green was then signed as the new face of Ultimo's D-G Range, alongside fellow model Melinda Messenger and Spice Girl Mel B.
In July 2009, Green launched a campaign with Liberal Democrat MP Lembit Öpik. They began a petition to put an end to size zero models and underweight models taking to the catwalk or indeed working in the fashion industry at all. Once they reach 20,000 signatures, they will present it to the Prime Minister and Parliament to try to have a policy put in place whereby all models are health checked regularly before undertaking any assignments. Tabloid newspapers reported Green and Öpik were dating, suggestions they both denied.
On 11 September 2009, Green raised £200,000 for various charities at the BGC Partners charity event in honour of employees who died during the September 11 attacks. Green joined Jonathan Ross, Sir Alex Ferguson, and Carol Vorderman at the event amongst others.
Green filmed a small cameo in the feature film Get Him to the Greek. On 29 September, Green came third in a national poll conducted by The Daily Star to find the perfect celebrity body, beating the likes of Cheryl Cole, Mel B, and Victoria Beckham.
On 26 September, Green was dropped by Ultimo on the orders of founder Michelle Mone for allegedly breaking the no nudity clause in her contract by being photographed topless while on holiday.
Green has appeared in numerous publications, such as FHM, OK! Magazine, and The Sun. She was also voted one of the top 12 most inspirational women of 2008 by Company magazine.
Green launched "National Measure Your Bust Week" at Debenhams on Oxford Street during the spring of 2009 with Ultimo creator Michelle Mone.
Green was the face of Sony Bravia's new flat screen TV, which is the world's thinnest of its kind. Their slogan was "even TVs are feeling the pressure to be thin." Green has also signed an advertising deal with a water brand for a TV campaign. Green appeared as a soccerette in the programme Soccer AM at the end of 2009. She is a Celtic FC fan.
Green was the E cup model in La Senza's Christmas 2010 Cup Size Choir advertising campaign.
