She attended the University of Dramatic Arts in Porto Alegre and, in her last year, she left for São Paulo to do her first professional show at the Teatro Brasileiro de Comédia.

In May 2008, she joined the cast of the pornographic film production company Brasileirinhas, with the film 'Pecados & Temptations'. There was a lot of controversy surrounding her participation in the film.
At first, Leila wanted to sue the vehicles that reported that she had made a porn movie. However, the cover of the DVD "Pecados & Temptations", directed by J. Gaspar, came to light and the actress could not deny it anymore.
Soon after, she confirmed to the website EGO that she had indeed filmed scenes for the film, but not as the media had reported:
