About Sunisa Kim
Sunisa Kim (born September 11, 1979 in Thailand) is a model of Thai and Cambodian decent. She currently resides in Los Angeles, having moved to Southern California when was only 6 months old. Starting her career in the Automotive Industry, her three year stint as Spokes-model for Yokohama Tire, set the tone for her career where she traveled the globe and became widely recognized among those in the automotive tuner market scene. Her exposure was immediately noticed by her fans which they crowned her the coveted title of the first Drift Queen in the U.S. and was awarded "Spokes-model of the Year." She's also agency represented for mainstream modeling in LA and Pacific Rim markets, appearing on many prints and commercial advertisements, such as lingerie/swimwear catalogs, major brand product campaigns and fit modeling.
Sunisa quickly matured in her pursuit to stardom whose Thai/Cambodian descent make up her stunningly exotic visage. Her unique look, fun-loving personality, and professional attitude has led her to grace numerous magazine covers and publications with her most recent being a featured model in Maxim Philippines and FHM Singapore. She has top-selling swimsuit calendars and is regularly ranked in men's magazines as one of the sexiest women in the world today.
On the acting front, Sunisa has made numerous TV appearances and has guest-starred on the television series and appeared in Music Videos, to name a few, "Deal or No Deal," "Medium," "Melrose Place," "Entourage," "Moonlight," and "Manhattan Diaries (Japan)." In addition to the many live appearances, Sunisa recently (2009) hosted a new broadcast program "Our World," a news and information series for the MySpace generation.
While helping others having always been her passion, from working with non-profits to participating in various charitable events, she has found balance in her life, from the chaotic world of the entertainment industry, to give back to people who need help in indigenous countries. Sunisa's current mission is to provide avenues for today's youth in Cambodia. As a baby born and raised in a refugee camp during the Khmer Rouge regime, Sunisa realized that she was given a second chance at life and wants to use her success in her modeling career to connect with children and give them opportunities.
Despite her hectic schedule, Sunisa enjoys spending time with family and friends, doing yoga, martial arts, taking long walks along mountain trails, cooking, exploring new eateries, surfing the web, traveling, reading, painting, photography and her new found passion, singing.
