Born in Georgia, Laren is the youngest of four children. Laren was a military brat and spent much of her life living on an Air Force base in Germany and then Hawaii.

She got married at the age of 18 but would later divorce. Laren met adult model Crystal Klein in Hawaii, and they became friends. Klein would convince Laren, with her large natural breasts, that she could make it in Playboy or Penthouse and have a successful modeling career. This would prove true, as not long after signing with an agency, Laren would soon appear on the cover of Penthouse. Laren's cover would be one of the best-selling issues of Penthouse in its history. Laren would then be named Penthouse Pet of the Month for June 2006.

In 2012, she signed with Girl Candy Films to star in three movies called the Lesbian Voyeur series directed by Nica Noelle. The premise of the series was a bi-curious woman coming to grips with her lesbianism. In Lesbian Voyeur 1, she only had solo masturbation scenes. In Lesbian Voyeur 2, she would go further and make out with Jelena Jensen and Alia Starr but would only watch their hardcore action. In Lesbian Voyeur 3, she would finally have sex with other women. This would have led to Laren starting her hardcore girl/girl career. But Laren backed out of the third move and remained a softcore star for her career.

Laren has stated she is bisexual and has hooked up with other well-known Penthouse and Playboy models.
