You've got four fingers on each hand already, each with three knuckles. That's a pretty clean way to count to a dozen and check your basic fractions on one hand. That way, you can count while still working with the other hand.
The only thing inbreeding might explain is how you missed that. That would be the trouble with basic math coming up, though.

Nope, actually, i think inbreeding can explain very well how you came to a porn site to pretentiously to talk sh*t about a measurement system and defend another, purely based on the fingers if your hand; while such system presents little correlation between its units.
Funny how dozens of yards cannot be converted to furlongs or miles with absolute unitary exactitude.
Surely has nothing to do with a system based in aproximate customary conventions so inexact, they couldnt be recreated after the destruction of their original prototypes i 1834.
Metric system has no such problem.

Wait, your argument is that because a furlong, an eighth-mile, has become less complete since it was metricized in the fifties, the modern metric-derived pseudo-imperial system is flawed, and that's why we should use metric? I was arguing dozenal over decimal, base twelve over base ten, not defending imperial against SI/metric. But the SI definitions are self-referential messes, while imperial, used as intended, is simple enough to do without relying on advanced technology. Seriously. Measuring light in a vacuum? Radiation periods? Most people can't even buy caesium. The standard yard and pound were destroyed in a fire. Le Grand K would have been lost in the same event. They didn't have trouble replacing them, either. It just took 30 years in the mid-1800s. It took 20 years to replace LGK in the late-1900s when they realized it had lost weight.

An inch is your thumb width. A furlong is 125 paces—250 steps—as a mile is 1000 paces. An acre is an area 8 paces by 80 paces. The yard's weird because its origin is lost. It might have had to do with chest circumference. It's about two ells—the length from the elbow to the fingertips. Either way, you can do it without fissile material.

And for all your talking down imperial, I doubt you use SI time. Or temperate; not even most scientists use kelvin.
