-----------------------------------------------
Ursula Buchfellner (born June 8, 1961 in Munich ) is a German model and actress who is best known for her work in numerous erotic films for Lisa Film. She also appeared under the names Uschi Buchfellner, Ursula Fellner, Ulla Maris, and Ursula Maris. Ursula Buchfellner was the first German Playmate in the American Playboy; she was "Miss October" there in 1979.
Early years
Ursula Buchfellner was born as one of ten children of an alcoholic father and her mother in Hasenbergl, a satellite housing project on the outskirts of Munich. Her family lived in a 60 m² apartment in a homeless shelter, where they had to share a bathroom with three other families. In order to cope better with these miserable conditions, the siblings, at the request of their mother, often learned skilled trades that served the general well-being of the family. Some of her siblings worked in a butcher's shop from an early age; Ursula Buchfellner herself began training as a bakery saleswoman at the age of 15.
In 1977, Buchfellner was discovered in a Munich beer garden by a Playboy editor and invited to a photo shoot for the “ Playmate ”. The then 16-year-old still needed her parents’ consent, whose consent she finally got under a pretext. At the time, she only confided in her uncle, who encouraged her to take the photos, the “chance of a lifetime”.
Effect of nude photography
After the photo shoot, which was paid around 4,000 DM, the men's magazine appeared in December 1977 (in the German edition) with a photo series of Buchfellner under the title "Ursula's sweet things". It later emerged that she was only 16 years old at the time the photos were taken. She was insulted and abused by those around her; even her own grandmother, who lived in her parents' apartment, turned away from her. Buchfellner had to give up her job in the bakery.
In the following years, she did more shoots for men's magazines, including international editions of Lui, High Society, and Playboy. In 1979, the model turned down an offer of $80,000 from the men's magazine Penthouse because she did not like the way the photos were made.
Since the end of the 1970s, Buchfellner has acted in German erotic films inspired by the successful series Schoolgirl Report, such as Popcorn and Raspberry Ice Cream in 1978, Three Cheeky Bees in the Philippines, and various European B-movies. For example, she was seen in several works by the Spanish exploitation director Jesús Franco and alongside Corinne Clery in The Last Harem by Sergio Garrone.
Turning point/career end
In the mid-1980s, Buchfellner said she ended her career as a model and erotic actress. From then on, she only appeared as an actress. She played in Die Wicherts von Nebenan and had two supporting roles in Derrick. In the 1990s, she appeared in Peter Steiner's Theaterstadl and the series Zum Stanglwirt. She thus managed to change her image.
"The story has [...] a happy ending for now. ' I have been incredibly lucky in my life,' says Ursula [...] Gratitude is no expression for what I feel. Gratitude? Are you grateful to the swamp just because you didn't sink into it? [...] Not everyone can choose the soil in this world on which a little bit of happiness will grow."
– Herbert Riehl-Heyse: about Ursula Buchfellner’s departure from the Playmate image
Away from her career, Buchfellner completed a cosmetics training course, became a children's sports teacher, and finally an astrologer after taking seminars in psychology. Ursula Buchfellner was in a relationship with the Berlin businessman and former nightclub owner Rolf Eden for seven years. Eden and Buchfellner remained friends after their separation until his death.
In 2015, she published her autobiography, in which she reported, among other things, on child abuse at the age of seven and the years of difficulties that followed.
Buchfellner lives in Munich.
On June 26, 2022, she was elected to the senior citizens' representation of her city district 24 (Feldmoching-Hasenbergl) with the fourth-best result.
In the state and district elections on October 8, 2023, Ursula Buchfellner ran as an independent candidate on the Upper Bavarian electoral proposals of the Mensch Umwelt Tierschutz (Animal Welfare Party) party.
